NFB convention

For the first time, I was able to attend the Utah NFB conference. before I move into my comments I want to thank Ron Gardner who made it possible. I was moved beyond words at this opportunity.
I was impressed with a lot of the speakers, Lockheart was a bit of a drag, she didn't seem that invested in speaking to our needs, instead she extolled the virtues of a part time legislature.
Ron Gardner was an amazing speaker, he promoted the positive view of blindness without ignoring the realities of societies treatment of blind people. Some of the most powerful speakers were not prolific, rather they spoke haltingly of their life experiences. This made what they had to say even more powerful.
So amazing speakers, a great group of people that I made connections with.
I want to say something awesome but I can't find the words, so I will just end by saying that the tech demo's were awesome. The keynote speaker Gashel was a great speaker. He was an amazing man who spoke very well about what the NFB does and what they want to do.
I want to work with the NFB when I grow up. I would like to work with kids with all disabilities to encourage them to go to school.
